IV infusion Therapy FAQs
How long does a typical infusion take?
Infusions require the placement of a small needle into a vein in your arm, a process which takes just a few moments. Depending upon the IV therapy you are receiving, infusions can take between 30 to 40 minutes. You will be monitored by a licensed health care professional during the entire process.
Does it hurt?
Surprisingly no! We use numbing medicine before each IV and make every effort to keep this as painless as possible for our clients.
Where are the IV infusions done?
We provide this service to you in your own home, office, hotel room, etc. A licensed health care professional will personally administer and monitor your IV infusion therapy. Your session will last no longer than 40 minutes, so you can go right back to the gym, work, or anywhere else you plan to spend your day.
What is contained in the IV therapies?
All infusions contain IV fluids which are traditionally used for hydration in any other medical setting such as a hospital or doctor’s office. Other ingredients include vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids, all of which are readily available over the counter in oral form.Visit our Ingredients Page to read more about what is in our IV therapy treatments.
Are all medications FDA approved?
All medications we use are FDA approved. Further more, our IV vitamins and amino acids are made by approved compounding pharmacies in the United States.
Are there any contraindications to receiving IV therapies?
All of our IV therapies are safe. Prior to receiving any treatments, you will have a consultation with a member of our medical staff who will ask you details about your medications and medical history.
How often can I receive IV therapies?
Most of our IV therapies can be administered as often as once a week. However, our recommendation is two to four drips per month. Our health care providers will help direct you to customize a plan based on your goals and physiological needs.
How will I feel after?
Some drips, such as our cure for hangover, will have you feeling revived right away. At the end of the drip, most of our clients say they feel invigorated, full of life and ready to tackle the rest of their day.
Are there any side effects from IV therapies?
Because our infusions are performed by licensed health care professionals with experience, the possibility of experiencing any side effects is highly unlikely. Nonetheless, potential side effects from IV placement may include pain with needle insertion, redness or swelling at the site of the needle, or, in extreme cases, infection at the IV site. Allergic reactions, bruising, and phlebitis may also occur. In addition, some of our infusions contain magnesium which can sometimes cause a sensation of flushing. This can be minimized by slowing the rate of infusion.
